Welcome to Transforming the Instructional Landscape

A place where technology and innovation meet to make instructional spaces more empowering for the U of T community.

What is TIL?

Transforming the Instructional Landscape (TIL) is a University of Toronto initiative that seeks to draw on teaching and learning expertise from faculty, staff, and students across the university to inform teaching and learning best practices as they intersect with classroom space and technology. TIL’s focus is on the university’s academic spaces.

How does TIL work?

TIL brings a human-centred design thinking approach to classroom design. TIL identifies the needs of the University of Toronto community regarding classroom design and classroom technology and shares information across the university community. Led by an ongoing collaboration between Learning Space Management (LSM), Centre for Teaching Support & Innovation (CTSI) and the Innovation Hub , TIL aims to engage students, faculty and staff in discussions about opportunities for innovation in the university’s classrooms.
